When setting up your Spoke Dispatch account a minimum of one main depot is required, and all drivers must be assigned to at least one depot.

If you have more than one depot location, you can create multiple depots.

Dispatchers, Depot Managers, and Read-only roles can only access routes, drivers, and settings for the depots they are assigned to.

How to add and edit depots

  • Go to Settings > Workspace > Depots

OR

  • From the overview page in the top left corner, click the drop-down menu, and then click > Create depot.

On the Depots page click the > Create depot button or select a depot and then:

  • Name your depot

  • Set your route starting location and time

  • Set your route finish location and time

  • Set the estimated time at stop

  • Set the maximum stops per driver

  • Set the default vehicle type for drivers

  • Set the side-of-the-road preference

Depot settings will override any global account settings.

If you do not set an end location for routes, they may contain idle time.

We recommend setting the end location > Return to start location (roundtrip)

How to automatically log the exact time drivers take at stops

If you are on the Premium or Expert plan, the actual time a driver arrives at and departs from a stop will be automatically logged, as long as your drivers use Spoke's internal navigation on their driver app.

Next to each attempted stop on the Dispatcher Dashboard, you will be able to see the automatically logged arrival and departure timestamps for that driver, helping you gain an accurate record of delivery times and driver performance.

If you ever need to set a manual time at a stop, you can still do so by making that change on the selected stop.

How to assign drivers to depots

Go to Drivers and edit an individual team member to assign them to a specific depot.

Every driver must be assigned to at least one depot, and can be assigned to multiple depots.

How to switch between and filter your dashboard view by depot

In the left-hand sidebar, click the > All depots drop-down menu.

This menu allows you to select:

  • All depots to see dashboard information for all your depots

  • Select a specific depot to filter your dashboard view to only display information associated with the selected depot.

How to delete depots

You must have a minimum of one depot in your account at all times.

In Settings > Workspace > Depots click on a depot to edit it. You will see the option > Delete depot.

By deleting a depot, any existing routes and drivers will automatically be assigned to the main depot.

How to delete the main depot

To delete the main depot you must first select another depot to set as the main depot.

No driver, route, or stop data will be deleted when you delete a depot.
