How to use Spoke Connect

Learn how to import orders and view live delivery status updates

Spoke Connect is the software that your courier uses to deliver your orders.

In this guide, we will cover:

  1. How to accept your courier's invitation to join Spoke Connect

  2. How to import your orders to Spoke Connect ready for delivery

  3. How to view the live delivery status of your orders


How to accept your courier's invitation to join Spoke Connect and log in

When your courier adds you to Spoke Connect, you may receive an email invitation from [email protected], or an invitation link will be shared with you.

  • Click the signup button, and you will be taken to a signup page

  • Enter the email and password you wish to use and log in

  • Once you have created your account, click here to log in to Spoke Connect

How to import your orders to Spoke Connect

Once you are logged in, you will see one of two possible messages in the center of the screen.

If your courier has invited you to Spoke Connect with the ability to search for and track the live status of orders, but without the ability to import your orders to Spoke Connect you will see this message.

Submit orders to courier

Spoke Connect allows you to upload your orders and submit them directly to your courier. Reach out to your courier to enable this feature

Contact your courier directly (by email or phone) if you would like the ability to import your orders to Spoke Connect enabled.


If your courier has invited you to Spoke Connect with the ability to search for and track the live status of orders and import your orders to Spoke Connect, you will see this message.

How to import your orders via spreadsheet

Before importing your order data into Spoke Connect, you will need to format it correctly.

Click here to download a copy of our example spreadsheet.

You do not need to complete every field, but the minimum information you must supply for each order is the address and recipient details.

You can import the following order data:

The name of the stop, such as a building or business name.

This is not street-level data

When you are ready to import your orders:

  • Click > Import orders from spreadsheet

  • Select the spreadsheet you want to upload

  • Follow the import process on the screen

  • You will see the message > Draft orders successfully imported


How to import your orders from Shopify

You can import orders from your Shopify store into Spoke Connect.

You must be an Admin/Owner role in order to link your Shopify store with Connect.

How to link your Shopify store with Connect

  • Go to Settings > General > Integrations

  • Go to Shopify and click > Connect store

  • You will then land on the Connect Shopify listing, click > Install

  • Accept access permissions and click > Install

  • You will then be redirected back to Spoke Connect

  • Your Shopify store is now linked with Spoke Connect

How to turn on automatic Shopify updates

To have completed Connect deliveries automatically update their status to fulfilled in Shopify, and recipients automatically receive a notification from Shopify when a Connect delivery has been completed, you will need to enable these settings:

  • Go to Settings > General > Integrations

  • Toggle on the setting > Automatically mark orders as fulfilled in Shopify

  • Toggle on the setting > Notify customer via Shopify when fulfilled

How to import Shopify orders

With your Shopify store linked to Connect, you can import your orders.

  • Go to Orders, click > Add or import orders, select > Import from Shopify

  • All your Shopify orders will be imported onto a list in Spoke Connect

  • You can select individual orders that you want to import

  • You can also click > Bulk import and add all the order IDs you want to import in the text box, then click > Import orders

  • Those orders will be imported into Spoke Connect as draft orders and are ready to be submitted for delivery


How to submit your orders for delivery

With all your orders imported as a draft, you can now select which of those orders you want to submit for delivery.

To submit orders for delivery:

  • Select the draft orders you wish to submit for delivery from the list

  • Click > Submit for delivery

Once an order has been submitted, it cannot be edited, but it can be withdrawn as long as it hasn't been assigned to a route by your courier.

  • You can check the status of submitted deliveries under > Active orders


How to see the live delivery status of your orders

The status of your orders will change as they move along the delivery process.

  • Draft > Submitted - when an order has been submitted for delivery

  • Submitted > Scheduled - when an order has been added to a route

  • Scheduled > ETA - when the driver starts the route

  • ETA > real-time status update - as the deliveries are completed

Using the sidebar:

  • Click > Search to search for the details of any order

  • Click > Draft to see your draft orders

  • Click > Active orders to see the orders that have been submitted to the courier and their live delivery status updates

  • Click > History to see all historical delivery data


How to add team members to Spoke Connect

When you accept the Spoke Connect invite from your courier and log in, you will become the Team Owner, and you can invite additional members of your team to access Spoke Connect.

This can be useful if you have multiple team members who deal with the management and delivery of your orders.

  • Go to Settings > General > Team members

  • Click > Add members to invite a new team member

  • New Team members have restricted access and can only see other members and Integrations.

  • To switch the Team Owner role to another person, click > Transfer ownership and follow the instructions
